Tegra 3 Is The Pick Of The Day With Acer And HTC Lining Up Tegra 3 Sporting Slates

Quad core is the future of mobile devices, it is going to be what the next generation of handsets and tablets use. With Nvidia’s Tegra 3 chipset being released it looks like the manufacturers are jumping in with two feet to get the best tablet first.

With the Asus Eee Pad Transformer prime announced running Tegra 3 chips,  Lenovo decided they would get in on the game and announce they are planning a ICS tablet with Tegra 3 chips also.

Im guessing HTC and Acer were feeling a little left out as they have both announced that they are planning on releasing tablets which have Tegra 3 deep in the heart of them.

Acer have announced the A510 and the A511 a natural successor to the A500 the A510 has some impressive specifications, presumably running the new ICS version of Android, it is going to have the quad Tegra 3 under the hood, the A511 will be the 3G variant of the A511.

Acer will be announcing the two new tablets at CES 2012.

HTC are also going to be rocking a Tegra 3 running tablet that will be coming out shortly Chinese newspaper Commercial Times has published a report saying that HTC will announce its first Tegra 3 powered tablet at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next year. The paper has reported that not only will HTC announce this new tablet, they are looking at announcing 2 new Tegra 3 running smartphones, could one be the recently leaked HTC Edge.

It looks like manufactures are really heating up the race to get the best devices out first.

HTC tend to go one up on the competition where build quality comes into it but there is always competition where Android comes into play.
