Heated ToastieKnife Aims to Solve All Your Butter Spreading Woes

[tab name=’News’]

We’re pretty sure everyone has ended up destroying a perfectly good piece of toast by trying to spread rock-hard butter on it – it’s a traumatic breakfast experience that really sets you up for a bad day.

Thankfully Warburtons has decided that lovers of its bread need no longer mash up slices of toast trying to get the perfect spread of butter. It’s invented something truly joyous – the ToastieKnife.

This ingenious little knife will slice through butter like, well, a hot knife. And that’s because it is a hot knife! Two AA batteries are stored in the handle, which provide the power to a heating element in the blade.

A quick press of a button on the handle will result in your knife’s blade heating up to 41.8 degrees – a temperature known the world over as the optimum butter slicing temperature. Within 30 seconds of pressing the button your ToastieKnife will be ready to glide through the coldest blocks of butter and deliver it to your toast, damage-free.

At the moment the ToastieKnife is merely a prototype device, but we’re hoping that with enough interest Warburtons will put it into production and save our breakfasts. The Fry Futurama meme comes to mind…
