Yesterday we saw some leaked images showing a new super-slim Honeycomb tablet from Toshiba, but today we hear that Toshiba’s first tablet, the ‘Thrive’, will be coming to the UK on September 1st.
Toshiba have opted to drop the ‘Thrive’ moniker for the UK release, instead calling the tablet the AT100, which is unfortunately much less exciting.
Boring name aside, the AT100 still features a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor with a 10.1-inch screen along with Android Honeycomb 3.1 as standard.
The 10.1-inch screen sports a decent 1280 x 800 resolution along with Toshiba’s Resolution+ technology which will upscale photo quality to near-HD resolutions.
An image leaked yesterday by NotebookItalia shows a new tablet compared to Toshiba’s Thrive. The Thrive unfortunately didn’t fare too well sales-wise in the US, though now the UK will get a chance to buy.
We’re very much expecting the new Toshiba tablet to make an official appearance at the IFA technology event which is taking place in Berlin between September 1st and 7th. We’ll keep you fully up to date with everything from the event as it happens, so stay tuned!
