Obviously, this lead to a substantial level of complaints and a level of lack of faith in the service provided. Having had this feedback Sky have refunded those directly affected and those that purchased the day passes along with an additional day pass as a way to say sorry.

Of course, not only football watchers and Game of Thrones fans have been affected by this issue, viewers of other programs have also been affected and Sky has now decided it is time to apologise to those viewers too by providing a £10 voucher that can be used at a number of retailers such like Amazon and Argos amongst others.
Gidon Katz, the director of NOW TV, has written in an email to customers advising that “We know NOW TV hasn’t been working as it should have been recently and we’re incredibly sorry for the interruptions to your viewing”, he then goes on to add that the “NOW TV team is focused on making sure we are doing everything we can to make things better.”
NOW TV is a great service, or rather usually is, so let’s hope this intermittent issue disappears for the foreseeable future and doesn’t happen during the World Cup over summer or (god forbid) during another episode of Game of Thrones.
