Ubisoft has finally dated open world hacking simulator Watch Dogs, the game which allows users to hack, shoot and scheme their way to success. The game prominently features interactive hacking of other people’s smartphones, further fuelling the fires of paranoia lit by the NSA and pals.
It may seem to be a snub to Microsoft fans, but Ubi has also detailed that the PS3 and PS4 versions will come with 60 minutes of free additional content, downloadable from PSN. Apparently the PlayStation is where the game is supposed to be with Michael Pattison, vice president of Third Party Relations at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe describing it – “It’s a unique and visionary game and we believe that the exclusive content available via PSN will not only excite gamers, but showcase how PlayStation is a preferred destination for Watch Dogs.”
A leaked trailer on xbox.com (ironically…) detailed the game’s release, which is now viewable on Ubisoft’s YouTube channel. Watch Dogs will be dropping on May 27th this year, a huge delay from the original release date planned for the November 19th, but at least now you have something to play all summer long…
Watch Dogs is coming to PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, with a Wii U port coming after that date, available after an unspecified wait.
