One of the best features of the iPhone Camera from the iPhone 5S upwards is the excellent Slow-Mo feature that allows users to capture a video, and after the capture ad a cool slo mo (as apple call it) effect to the video at selected points.
If you have an iPhone 5S, 6 or 6 Plus then quite frankly we are shocked that you have not filled half your memory up with your friends doing “Shaky Faces” in Slow-Mo then and we don’t know what you are doing with your iPhone!
Once you have captured the videos in glorious 120fps HD and then adjusted the slo mo period and video length, the thing you most want to do is to share it with your friends and family on Social media.
However, if you do upload the video straight off using the settings on your iPhone you will be shocked to see that the Video that appears online, will be a shoddy version of the files on your phone.
This is because the standard video uploads speed on the iPhone 5S upwards is set to Media, which compressed your Files greatly when uploading. This then causes and issue with Quality as the compression is done so fast.
However, there is a way of uploading the Video in a HD version to Facebook, although it still won’t be as good as what’s on your phone scree.
To Upload a HD Slo-Mo video to Facebook:
Firstly capture the Video you want using the iPhone’s Slo Mo feature, then set the slow mo points on the Video as you desire.
- Tap the Share icon
- Your Video will be ticked in the Video Selected are. Select Facebook as the place to share.
- Tap Details.
- You will now have a choice between Small, Medium or Large (HD) upload options. Tap Large (HD).
- You can now select to add your Location or Audience (who sees your post).
- Tap Post.
- Your phone will now upload your Video to the registered Facebooks account.
That’s it, the Video will upload to Facebook (depending on how good your internet connection is) in no time. The video still won’t have that Crystal clear view that you can see on your iPhone, but it will be a lot better than the video quality uploaded in Medium/Small definition.
One thing to note when watching the HD Slo Mo video back on Facebook, you will need to select the HD button on the video playback on Facebook to see the Video in its best form.
