For people who aren’t not short of a penny or two, luxury mobile phone manufacturer Vertu have something new.
Now if you happen to be a fan, you’ll be pleased to know that the company has announced it latest addition to the signature range, called the Signature Precious.
So, what can you expect from the new Signature Precious? Well, first of all, the keys on the front of the handset are made using sapphire and are so hard that they have to be carved into shape using diamond-tipped tools. Also, the keypad uses 4.75 carat solid ruby bearings which are designed to ensure that they don’t touch the sapphire keys, which for the user will ensure a smooth luxurious and satisfying click. Nothing has been done in half measures with this handset – even the SIM tray is solid gold.
That is not all though; even the ringtones have been composed by Academy Award winning composer Dario Marianelli and then performed by the London Symphonic Orchestra, with the flute solo being performed by the world’s leading flutist, Andrea Griminelli.
Underneath the precious metal body, you can expect to get the usual technologies such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, although not the other fancy technical stuff you’ll see on modern mobile phones.
Anyone who has owned a Vertu mobile phone will know that a phone is not all you get. Should you buy the Signature Precious you’ll also get your own Vertu Concierge service in which you will be given your own personal lifestyle manager.
At the moment there has been no information about pricing as yet, although you can safely assume that it’s going to be quite expensive to say the least.
