Virgin Mobile Launches All-You-Can-Eat Premiere Plan for Mobile Users

[tab name=’News’]

As our smartphones are able to do more and more, we find ourselves discovering new ways of browsing the web and using up our texts and calls, usually faster than we would like.

Our networks have thankfully noticed this, with some launching tariffs to cater for the serious mobile user. Three’s ‘One Plan’ offers unlimited texts and data, plus a ridiculous 2000 minutes and 5000 Three-to-Three minutes, while T-Mobiles new ‘Full Monty’ plan offers unlimited everything.

Virgin Mobile is the latest to join the unlimited game, launching a new plan called the ‘Premiere Plan’. Tariffs on this plan start at £21 and offer unlimited data, unlimited texts, unlimited calls to UK landlines and 2500 minutes to mobiles. The price of your Premiere Plan is of course likely to rise if you take out a pretty pricey phone alongside it – £21 is just the base rate.

Another plan has also been launched for the more casual mobile user – the Starter tariff offers a little less than the Premiere Plan’s blockbusting figures, but starts at a more reasonable £18 per month. For existing Virgin Media subscribers, an extra fiver will be knocked off as a thankyou.

The two new tariffs will be offered as 24 month contracts, and Virgin says there will also be some similar SIM-Only deals offered with more mobile usage than you can shake a stick at. All plans come bundled with mobile phone insurance and a Mobile Rescue app to help lock and wipe a lost phone, both of which will come in handy we’re sure.

Overall Virgin Mobile’s offering looks decent, and the addition of unlimited calls to UK landlines sounds great – We’re avid fans of Three’s One Plan, but it falls short on landline calling unfortunately.
