If you like vampiric dramas that pack a little more bite than Twlight, you’re probably well into True Blood. And if you’re really into the show, you probably won’t mind staking out these cult-TV inspired ultra-cool but highly-pricey new earphones from V-MODA.
V-MODA has released a limited run of just 400 individually numbered pairs of the True Blood “Maker” ear-gear, which combines function and some deathly cool style, with the popular telly branding appearing on the packaging and plugs them self. Coming in black (of course) with crimson red accents and fabric line cabling, these look the business for nightwalkers and pack enough of a punch to make your ears bleed!
The plugs are made of a zinc casting with an interchangeable selection of ‘Revamped’ silicone pods which block outside noise and enhance stability while also providing comfort. The set also includes ‘Active Flex’ attachable ear hooks, for when you’re listening while jogging – or chasing down your human prey. With one button microphone, the phones double up for recording duties on most of our top mobile gadgets running on software such as Android, iOS and Blackberry OS. All this comes in a slick Italian designed carrying pouch.
True believer and the vampirically named Val Kolton of V-MODA says of the collaboration: “V-MODA is the original maker of the modern headphone industry and through the years has turned nearly 3 million high-end headphones. Like an older vampire who is stronger and has gained more powers over the years, V-MODA has amassed unique experiences in fusing rare materials, quality, ergonomics, sound and durability.”
The True Blood “Maker” earphones from V-MODA are available from the company’s website – or from HBO Stores in the States – but the price comes with a bit of a bite at $150.
