Vodafone gets Samsung Galaxy S II – Range of tariffs available on network

The Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone blasts onto the UK Vodafone network today – featuring Android 2.3. The out-of-this-world smartphone is available free of charge on a £40-per-month contract.

If you’re passionate about your mobiles you’ll know the spec already but for the benefit of any new readers and those who fancy a little refresher – the Samsung Galaxy S II features a super-sharp 4.3” Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen, 8-megapixel shooter at the rear and despite its sizeable screen the Galaxy S II is a surprisingly slender 8.49mm.

Through Vodafone’s £40PM tariff you’ll bag yourself the Samsung handset for nought, in addition to 900 talk time minutes, unlimited texts to let all your mates know how good your new phone is, and a generous 750MB of data. Scaled down packages are also available starting at £25 for 100 minutes with 500 texts and 500MB.

Don’t want the 24 month? Go on then – Vodafone will let you have the Galaxy S II on an 18 or 12 month contract as well. You can check out all the details on the handset and full Vodafone contract range on the official store now.
