Watch Dogs comes out on May 27th, that’s less than two weeks to wait. So if you haven’t pre-ordered a copy yet now would be the time, of course you’ll first have to decide which platform oh and then choose between the standard edition and the nine special editions! In addition to the standard edition, Watch Dogs has nine other special editions of varying prices and content, now some of these are region specific and some retailer specific, that’s still a lot though. Also limited editions come with a hat.
There is some bad news for the console lovers though, although the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One are both powerful units Ubisoft’s upcoming cyberpunk hacking game will only manage 30fps at 900p, falling short of the 1080 full HD mark on the PS4. Whilst Xbox One owners will only manage a meager 729p at 30fps, a considerable drop by comparison.
There is a trend appearing with games released on both platforms, the PS4 is performing better although it’s a difference you might only notice if both versions are running side-by-side. There is some disgruntled customers within the PS4 world regarding this resolution drop, the Ubisoft site originally had it pegged as a Full HD game before hastily removing it a couple of days ago with no word on why. Assassin’s Creed 4 was released on PS4 at 900p as well but following an update it is now full HD. Fingers crossed this happens for Watchdogs too.

Those of you in the PC master race have nothing to worry about though as the game will launch with all the usual video settings, assuming your rig is up to the job of running it in super high res and maintaining a steady FPS. Fuel in the old console war fire from Ubisoft as PS4 owners can lord over Xbox and simultaneously complain about the lack of full HD and PC owners can lord over everyone.
