Well, we all thought that the White iPhone 4 was quickly becoming the technology equivalent of the Loch Ness Monster, well no more – it exists, and it’s even on the Apple website – which is the ultimate proof we’ve all been waiting for.
The white iPhone 4 had quickly become somewhat of pariah for Apple, but after 10 months of delays Apple have finally managed to get the colour right and staying true to their word they’ve finally managed to get the handset ready for retail – and you won’t have to wait long as you’ll be able to buy one tomorrow worldwide.
Originally, the plan over at Apple HQ had been to release the white version of the iPhone 4 at the same time as its black counterpart.
Steve Jobs even unveiled both models at the same time. But something went wrong, early test models seemed to shed the white paint when it got too hot, and Apple had to go back to the drawing board. 10 months later they’ve finally sorted it.
From tomorrow, the model will be available in 28 countries worldwide including the UK, through Apple’s retail and online stores, and various authorised resellers.
The 16GB model will cost just $199 (£120) in the US, rising to $299 for the 32 GB model, although Apple said details on UK pricing and availability will only be available at the launch.
