Yes, it would seem that the only way you can say you have made it nowadays in the Operating System market is when you can say that your system has Angry birds on it.
Well Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 OS can now say that it has made it, as from today onwards users can now download Rovio’s best selling Angry Birds game onto their WP7 handsets.
Angry Birds has proven to be such a mega success on the iOS and Android platforms that the game now stands as a draw for smartphone users and a benchmark app for all formats, as it is sure to be a talking point for handset users.
Microsoft made the announcement today via its windowsteamblog.com website with Microsoft’s Michael Stroh stating:
“At last. Angry Birds is now available in the Windows Phone Marketplace—a few hours ahead of schedule and so fresh it hasn’t even been rated yet!”
“Be the first—or just hunker down with your phone and get dem pigs.”
“The game, the last in Xbox’s Must Have Game series for Windows Phone, is free to try and $2.99 to buy”
