Microsoft recently confirmed that they will be releasing a new free-to-play sequel to the popular Full House Poker title. Since poker titles are still quite popular, Microsoft is looking to capitalise on this further with the release of World Series of Poker: Full House Pro sometime this spring for the Xbox 360 and Windows 8.
More than just a simple poker simulator, this game allows users to customise their player avatars and explore real-life casinos from all over the world as they try and increase their bankrolls. The original Full House Poker was listed as one of the best poker games to come out in a long time, so a lot is expected from this new title. Also, since this is a free to play game, you will not have to spend MS Points or cash in order to try to advance in the game.
Below are some of the features that we can expect from this game:
- Free-to-Play – Join in the game at anytime of the day or night. In addition, if you run out of chips you will be given a new stack of chips to try to rebuild your lost fortunes.
- Microsoft plans to continue to release regular content for this title, meaning that you will need to come back often to see what is new in the game.
- This game will be true cross-platform. You can start a game on the Xbox 360 and then go over to a Windows 8 device and continue the same game.
- Plenty of Choices – There are plenty of game modes to pick from in this title. Start with single-player Texas Holdem poker games and advance to full table cash games and even multi-table poker tournaments. There are plenty of games to fit your poker playing style
- ESPN announcers Norman Chad and Lon McEachern lend their voice to the game to provide play-by-play commentary of the game just as if the player was on ESPNs World Series of Poker.
- Learn how to play the game before taking on your real world opponents with head-to-head matches against poker pros or take them on the in the All-in Pro Takedown Tournament.
The exact release date for the World Series of Poker: Full House Pro hasn’t been released yet but it will be available on both the Xbox 360 and Windows 8 this spring. Until then, check out a video of the game in action below.
