The creator of Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game, World of Warcraft is looking to bring the hugely popular magically-inclined franchise onto Apple iPad and iPhone in the near future and they are looking to make it a full and faithful translation onto the portable gadgets.
Developer Blizzard reveals that despite nothing being set in stone and the idea still just a figment of fantasy, the company is putting much thought into the crossover onto popular Apple handheld devices, which is ever-becoming the new way to game. But Senior WOW Producer John Lagrave told Eurogamer that Blizzard won’t just be launching any old tripe.
Lagrave says “We won’t do it until we think it’s decent. But it’s interesting and the world is evolving towards that little handheld device – I’d have fun on it, that’s absolutely the case. It would be foolish for any game developer to not be looking at that.”
And it won’t just be another supplemental addition to the main World of Warcraft game along the lines of the Mobile Armoury app and will only release a mobile version when the game can be adapted in its full version. The legions of dedicated fans deserve no less after all.
