Xbox 360 Limited Edition Chrome Controllers to Come with Free Dragon’s Dogma DLC

You may remember earlier this month the Gadget Helpline introduced you to a line-up of stylish Limited Edition Chrome Controllers for Xbox 360 (if not, catch up with Major Nelson’s announcement below the controller pic). Now the appeal of pimping out your console with these shiny accessories is made even more appealing with the news that the handsets will come with a download code allowing players of soon to be released action adventure role-player Dragon’s Dogma free access to eight special quests.

Dragon’s Dogma will come from Japanese developer/publisher Capcom and touches down in its native country on May 24th with the Chrome Controllers released to co-incide with the launch. The game is set to appear in the U.K and Europe the very next day, so with any hope these Limited Edtion pads will arrive at the same time!

The Major is really spoiling us lately – and following big reveals of the masses of downloadable content available through the Xbox LIVE network in the coming and the full details of the Star Wars Kinect and console bundle (which was released earlier this month) Microsoft Director of Programming Larry Hryb has announced a new wave of stylish chrome wireless controllers which will really pimp your play time!

Posting under the Xbox gamer tag Major Nelson, Hryb reveals the new line-up of limited edition controllers will come in Silver, Blue and Red (region dependant). They will all connect wirelessly and feature the traditional Xbox 360 button layout and functionality of the classic controller. The packaging is pretty sweet too. The gadget is contained within a clear box which showcases its classy sheen – making us wonder if we should actually bust it open or keep it cherry and fingerprint free!

The Xbox 360 Special Edition Chrome Series Wireless Controllers will go on sale in May costing around $55 in the United States. No price or availability info for us Brits yet, but Major Nelson offers us a closer look at on his Flickr page – Here.
