ZTE Reveals PF200 & N910 Android Powered Smartphones Ahead of MWC

We’re increasingly impressed with what we’re seeing from Chinese tech co. ZTE – At one time the maker of budget end network branded mobile handsets, the manufacturer behind the Orange San Francisco line has recently been detailing its own name wares turning heads with gadgets featuring adequate spec at a more wallet-friendly price.

Interestingly, ZTE outsold Apple in number of units shifted in 2011 and having recently delivered the likes of the ZTE Tania – a Windows Phone with 1GHZ CPU which actually falls below the £200 mark and also the ZTE Light II Android-powered 7” tablet with a respectable 1.4GHz processor and just a £250 price tag – ZTE has unveiled a couple new numbers before making them official at next week’s Mobile World Congress.

Hitting Barcelona from February 27th to March 1st, and not to appear too favourable to only Microsoft’s mobile platform, ZTE will be showing off a few Android numbers at the MWC – these are the ZTE PF200 and the ZTE N910 – both said to boast the newest version of the widely distributed Google OS, version 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but other details are sparse if not rumour.

Firstly there’s the ZTE PF200 which should debut with 4.3”, 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, qHD touchscreen and an 8-megapixel shooter with 1080p video output. And the ZTE N910, which features a 1.5GHz CPU (allegedly a single core on this one), no spec on screen size or resolution but we’d believe it will be a WVGA display and the gadget will also pack a 5-megapixel rear-camera.

A nice pair out on show from ZTE, but it’s still too soon for a release date or any indication of pricing. These details should surface in a week’s time, and we should expect to be pleasantly surprised when the duo goes official at the MWC which starts next Monday.
