Rovio Mobile first released its highly annoying and addictive puzzle game Angry Birds on Apple iOS in ’09 and since then it has spread like an avian influenza – landing on a number of platforms for smartphones and has also made the leap to tablets.
Unfortunately for users of both formats there hasn’t been a way to continue progress when hopping between gadgets, meaning all those hard-beaten levels on your iPhone don’t mean squat when you pick up your iPad. Rovio have confirmed on their official Twitter that they are in fact working on a way to unify the devices so that all levels completed will translate over and sync – so no more replaying the same levels every time you pick up another device.
This is great news for fans running multiple gadgets on multiple platforms as Rovio are claiming that Windows, Mac OS, iOS and Android will all be supported when the system is expected to sync before this summer. Exciting stuff for avid avian gamers – but if you actually have a life and use your gadgets for what they were designed for this won’t mean much to you!
We were also in awe (and a little puzzled!) to find a gallery of Angry Birds inspired artwork has appeared online through graphics site NaldzGraphics.net – further proving that the addictive mobile game is infiltrating our society in a big way! Some fantastic artwork here – But who has the time for this stuff??
