No, this isn’t a snippet of a new Star Wars game.. Not officially anyway. This is the massive-scale mod for Activision‘s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare that’s been in the works for over two years!
The Galactic Warfare fan project was started a long time ago (2009 in fact) by a group of German coders. The project made a jump to lightspeed when new parties came onboard to help create the mod that has CoD and Star Wars fanboys in a Force frenzy awaiting its arrival.
Now the group are finally ready to release a finished version, and we can at long last get to grips with the 3D model which takes familiar Call of Duty action to a galaxy far, far away. The Star Wars universe is unofficially but faithfully recreated down to the smallest detail and in this total conversion – you can enjoy multiplayer gameplay as Rebel or Imperial Stormtrooper characters on well known battlegrounds from Hoth to Cloud City to the Death Star, using a variety of weapons as seen in the movie saga.
