Apple tease new LED Cinema Display with OS X Lion and Thunderbolt I/O

It would seem that whilst Apple are giving an overhaul to the whole Mac range to herald the arrival of OS X Lion this week and new data transfer I/O system Thunderbolt – the latest range of monitors is set to include a new Cinema Display model.

There’s been no official word, however the Apple website snapshot emerged of the Cinema Display wired up to MacBook via the new ultra-fast mega-sized file shifting Thunderbolt I/O and the newer OS X Lion background can be seen on the screen – provoking speculation this is a new version. These aren’t features you’ll find in the current model which relies on DisplayPort tech and 3 USB ports.

The Cinema Display monitor is a 27-inch widescreen display with LED backlight technology and intelligent lighting (that actually adjusts to the light in your room) which when linked to Mac can display your apps or games in a stunning high quality 2560 x1440 and also be connected up to Apple’s A4 television box for stunning visuals and 49 watts of stereo sound. Link this up with OS X Lion with Thunderbolt and boom! – A whole new high speed and fully sensory experience! We look forward to seeing and hearing more.
