So as discussed in the last article the New Nintendo 3DS regular and XL models have a confirmed UK release date. But not only was a standard edition discussed in the Nintendo Direct presentation but we also got a glimpse of a stunning The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D edition of the XL which will also go on sale on February 13th.

Expected to retail for $199.99 in North America (which equates to around £130) The Legend of Zelda themed New Nintendo 3DS XL looks a true treasure in gold finish with the titular Majora’s Mask in the centre, bordered by intricate detailing in a etched-on effect. Nintendo has launched Zelda inspired handhelds on previous occasions and they are always fan favourites but we think this one is really the best looking Nintendo has released yet.
The gold New Nintendo 3DS XL will go on sale on February 13th which is the same day as the The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D will be released for all 3DS platforms. The N64 classic is a follow-up to Ocarina of Time and like the predecessor it too has now been remastered and optimised for play on the Nintendo portable – but the game does not come included in the presentation box with The Legend of Zelda New Nintendo 3DS XL.
Nintendo presumably took this direction to give players the choice of buying the solo game in physical or digital format or investing their fandom and hard earned rupees in The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D special edition game pack which was announced in November last year. For £45 it includes a bounty of bonus goodies including SteelBook case, double-sized glossy poster and a metallic heart shaped Majora’s Mask pin badge with presentation box stamped with The Legend of Zelda logo.
Three words Nintendo: Take Our Money.
