LG Watch Urbane Arrives on Google Store for £259 – Moto 360 Gets Price Cut

The stylish LG Watch Urbane featuring Android Wear is now available to buy from the Google Store.

The LG Watch Urbane comes in at £259 and is a sharp looking wearable and the Korean company’s current top of the range unveiled at the Mobile World Congress back at the start of March. Favouring a rounded 1.3-inch plastic OLED face and metallic finish in choice of silver and rose gold with leather strap the gadget looks like a classic analogue timepiece – unlike the twice as pricey and hard-to come by Apple Watch, which still looks like a piece of tech regardless of how much gold is slapped on it.

Beneath the elegance of the LG Watch Urbane are a whole bunch of technical goodies and lifestyle features based around Google’s specially tailored operating system. It’s even the first Android Wear device to welcome independent Wi-Fi support through its latest update and the LG Watch Urbane is powered by a 410mAh battery with a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset handles the processing and 512MB of RAM and 4GB internal storage.

In other good news, the arrival of the LG Watch Urbane to the Google Store means a price cut for the LG Moto 360 which now costs only £159.99 which is a £40 saving. As the considerable price difference would suggest, this one is nowhere near as fancy as its superior sibling but offers a nice entry point to the Android Wear experience.

Coming with a nice leather strap and stainless steel finish the LG Moto 360 offers a full range of apps and sync-able features with smartphones and other Google-based devices.
