So yesterday we found out HTC’s intention to acquire a 51 percent stake in the Beats Audio, which makes the popular Beats by Dr Dre headphones, as well as the company’s intention to integrate the technology into future HTC smartphones.
Well, the latest news according to the folk over at Gizmodo is that the first HTC smartphone to feature the Beats Audio experience will in fact be the HTC Vigor which we heard about a while ago.
According to the rumours circulating about the yet announced device, the Vigor will feature a 4.3-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720; it will also be similar in appearance to the HTC Thunderbolt but with the exception of the kickstand. Apparently you can also expect to get a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor along with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board storage, an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front one. It also will supposedly be running Android Gingerbread 2.3.4, which we have been on a few HTC devices, along with the latest 3.5 version of the Sense UI.
Anyway, as ever, we would like to point out that the spec’s are still only rumour, but hopefully we won’t have to wait too long before we can get confirmation of HTC’s plans.
