At the rate new HTC smartphones are leaking online, people are going to start thinking HTC are letting it happen on purpose to hype up gadget fans!
After the HTC Runnymede leaked earlier this week, we then officially saw the HTC Sensation XE. Now we’ve got our hands on official press pictures of the HTC Rhyme.
We haven’t heard of a HTC Rhyme before, though German website HTCInside (who scooped the pictures) have confirmed that this is in fact the HTC Bliss, albeit with a new name.
That’s right folks, the HTC Bliss which we saw in pictures last month is going to be called the HTC Rhyme, and it’s due to go on sale pretty soon by all accounts.
From previous accounts we know the Rhyme (or Bliss) is designed with the female user in mind – it even comes with a “charm attachment”. It’s around the same size and specification as the HTC Wildfire S, featuring an 800MHz processor, 3.7-inch display, Android 2.3 and most interestingly HTC Sense 3.5.
The HTC Rhyme stands to be the first smartphone to go on sale with the new HTC Sense 3.5 user interface loaded. We uncovered a 5 minute demo video of the software recently; you can check it out here.
Interestingly, the date on the screen of the phone in the press shot above is September 20th. Ring any bells? That’s the date of HTC’s event in New York City. We’re taking this as a cert that the HTC Rhyme will be officially announced at the event. Perhaps the HTC Runnymede will join it?
