UK supermarket and online department store Tesco has begun a 5 day contest in which avid readers can grab themselves an Amazon Kindle reader every day from Monday to Friday this week.
The Kindle basic reader prize is also up for sale for an appealing £89 and includes Wi-Fi and capacity to download books, magazines and documents presenting them on the generous 6” E Ink display.
Tesco has set up the competition which takes place on the store’s Facebook Page. Every day the contest will ask a fairly simple question, today’s being “How many books can the Kindle hold?” There’s with a choice of 3 answers which is revealed on the Tesco Direct website!) but there’s also a more challenging task which involves writing a short opening, with a 500 character limit, for a make believe novel with a different theme to be thrown up daily – the genre for Monday is Crime.
You can enter the competition only once per day, and the Tesco Facebook Page tells us that the contest judges “favour entries that include a positive Tesco twist!”
