The Latest edition to the Nokia Lumia family, the Nokia Lumia 610, or Nokia’s Most affordable Lumia smartphone as they are lauding it as will be released in the coming weeks across Asia.
The Finnish mobile phone manufacturer has released a press statement regarding its latest Windows Phone 7.5 running smartphone and the new Lumia 610 smartphone will be coming to the Philippines in the final week of April, and in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam in the following weeks
The Budget smartphone and runt of the Lumia litter will be an affordable windows phone aimed at the Younger Audience.
The Lumia 610 will offer the same Windows Phone experience that its Lumia 710, 800 and 900 family member offer but on a slightly smaller scale as the handset has a 3.7in screen, an 800MHz processor and 256MB of RAM alongside 8GB of storage space. Packed in will also be a 5MP camera –but there will be no front-facing camera for video calls.
The handsets will come with all of the Nokia features that make the Lumia range the best iteration of the Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 operating system including Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive, Nokia Transport and Nokia Music.
The 610 does take a slight step away from the styling of the other Lumia handsets offering a more curved front to the device and a smaller screen.
Nokia is stating that the Lumia 610 will: “The Nokia Lumia 610 will introduce Windows Phone to a new generation of smartphone users, offering something very different to the monochromatic smartphones filling shelves today,”
The Nokia Lumia 610 will be available in black, cyan, and magenta and white, and will sell at an estimated retail price of EUR189 before applicable taxes and subsidies.
And the handset is expected to land on our European shores in Q3 of this year with an NFC version also hitting our shores.
