Another supposed Apple iPhone 5 build image has today leaked online, this time the Image seems to show that the forthcoming Apple iPhone will be sporting NFC technology thanks to a picture NFC Chip from a broken down apple build.
The leaked images show a NFC chip at the top of the iPhone dev build handset next to the phones camera lens.
The positioning of the Camera lens adds to the leaked images authenticity as the iPhone camera has reportedly been moved on the handset to the side (instead of the standard centred cam) and the images fit in line with other supposed leaked images.
Rumours surrounding the iPhone 5 handset have always stated that the new smartphone will come with NFC capabilities which would bring it up to speed with some of the handsets main rivals such as the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the recently announced LG Optimus G.
Wireless payments via NFC are one of the current hot features on any mobile phone’s with the technology allowing users to customise NFC enabled Tags, set quick phone features and perform cardless payments all with their smartphone.
Back in June Apple mentioned a new Passbook feature and App for the forthcoming iOS 6 operating system that will be debuting on the iPhone 5, the Passbook app will allow users to house tickets and store card information within the application.
This may be one of the features that NFC enables.
Either way most of the news is just rumoured and leaked tech but Apple are expected to announce the new iPhone 5 at a press conference on September the 12th and release the handset 9 day’s following.
