With the Google Nexus 7 slowly but surely storming the Tablet world since its unannounced release last month there has been only one question on everyone’s mind… Why has the Nexus 7 not got 3G?
In the recent marketing campaign by Google the Television advert for the Nexus 7 shows a chipper father and son team using the Tablet in the wild (al be it a large back garden) and running about using the features of the device in the wide opened world.
Well it may seem that this will soon be an actual possibility as Paul O’Brien over at MoDaCo claims that Asus is preparing a 3G-enabled variant for launch in “around six weeks,” with production already underway.
There is no evidence, leaked information or any other details to confirm this statement but we would like to hold out hope that Google have got a 3G model in the works and with its shock announcement we could be seeing a shock Nexus 7 3G similarly thrown at us.
O’Brien does however state that the information comes from a “very well-placed insider.” but we would still class this as very far out rumor until we gets some more proof.
But we can still hope!
