Leaked LG Nexus “Mako” appears online – New LG Android flagship phone?

It seems to be a leak-tastic day today, with the Sony Xperia Odin leaking online and a reported 32GB version of the Google Nexus 7 tablet showing up in Japan it’s not looking like a good day for tech secret keepers around the world.

Google has again been hit by leaks, as images of the rumoured new Nexus Android smartphone built by LG have been leaked online, in what appears to be the final casing for the forthcoming Nexus device.

Reports stating that Google is preparing five new Nexus-branded devices for the coming month in celebration of the 5 year anniversary are looking more and more plausible, with the new LG Nexus handset joining an already-reported HTC 5-inch Nexus device and the 32GB version of the Nexus 7. With three devices found, we’re left with only 2 spaces to fill!

Back to the LG device though, and the leaked images reveal what looks like a final design for the LG Nexus with its similar looks to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and a metallic cubed design on the back of the device.

Reportedly the LG device is codenamed “Mako” and a little info about the specs for the device have also been leaked, indicating that the Mako will have a Qualcomm 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor coupled with a powerful Adreno 320 GPU for graphics.

The leaked information comes from Android website AndroidandMe and shows some images of the front of the device with an Android information screen showing Jelly Bean OS information, plus the back of the phone which seems to feature a pixelated shimmery style to it, which is similar to LG’s recently announced Optimus G.

AndroidandMe have also confirmed the leaked images are real by one of their own sources, who has reportedly had a play on the device.

As per usual you have to take leaked handset images with a pinch of salt, but we have high hopes for the LG Nexus device being the real deal and cannot wait to get our hands on one.
