The long wait for the Huawei Ascend P2 Android smartphone appears to have an end as the Chinese company has announced that its latest flagship phone will land on UK shores in June.
The phone will go on sale shortly after June 18th to be specific, as Huawei has set a UK press event to take place on that day and it is expected that this is where the company will announce the debut of the new Ascend P2 handset that was originally shown off at the start of 2013 at MWC in Barcelona.
Huawei impressed us with its Ascend P2 which features a slim and sleek design and overflowing spec sheet. It has a 8.4mm-thin shell which crams in a 4.7-inch 720p HD display, quad-core processor and 13 megapixel camera amongst much more. It also looks amazing as the display runs right to the edge of the phone, making it look much bigger than its 4.7-inch size.
It also features 4G LTE speeds of up to 150 Mbps. Although there currently aren’t any mobile networks providing these speeds, the phone is future-proofed and should be able to offer the fastest mobile internet speeds around.
The handset should come running the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software from the box and the Huawei Ascend P2 is looking to offer top notch features which will rival some of the bigger names (Samsung and HTC) with a much reduced price, as the handset will land for under £400.
We loved the Ascend P2 and placed it in our hottest phones from Mobile World Congress 2013 list.
The Huawei Ascend P2 will be available in black and white upon its release next month.
