Petition Launched to Get Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime into Super Smash Bros.

Fans of Nintendo and its American boss Reggie Fils-Aime have begun a petition online to get the company’s press event showman into the next Super Smash Bros. title as a playable character!

The petition to get the Regginator in the game is underway over on Change.org and supporters are encouraged to also tweet to Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai as well as Nintendo of America, Nintendo Europe and Nintendo UK with the message “Add Reggie Fils-Aime to the Super Smash Bros. 3DS / Wii U roster #ReggieForSmashBros

While the petition builds momentum with over 17,000 supporters, new versions of the popular party game Super Smash Bros. are in development for both the Nintendo Wii U home console and the portable 3DS. The game will feature returning favourites including Super Mario and Luigi as well as Kirby, Donkey Kong and Link from The Legend of Zelda who will once again be put to battle on a series of action-packed stages from the characters’ respective game franchises.

As revealed at the recent E3 expo, new characters will be introduced in Super Smash Bros. such as the Villager from Animal Crossing, Capcom’s iconic Mega Man and the Wii Fit Trainer. If successful the petition could see Fils-Aime become the only Nintendo employee to make the leap from real-life into the Super Smash Bros. arena with many of our most beloved characters.

Speaking on American TV about his potential appearance in the game, Reggie repeated his famous catchphrase to host Jimmy Fallon, telling Nintendo fans ‘My body is ready’.
