Angry Birds Heikki Leaked But Official Launch Stalled – F1 Themed Spin-off Revs Up Next Monday

There’s bad news for fuel-heads today waiting for the green light of Angry Birds Heikki – the Formula One tie-in named after Finnish Driver Heikki Kovalainen. The new platform-bashing game with a racing theme has been postponed, but will be surfacing from the pit just a week later than its originally planned launch date, arriving instead (as the official site has been altered to inform) next Monday, June 25th.

Developer Rovio partnered with Kovalainen and recently the driving star from the Angry Birds homeland has been wearing a helmet featuring the classic red bird. Footage has leaked from Angry Birds Heikki and this helmet is suggested to play a role in latest spin-off app game and the hype website for the new game states “Where’s Heikki’s F1 racing helmet gone?! The Angry Birds have a hunch!” – so we can only guess the pesky pig foes of our furious feathery friends have mistaken the helmet for an egg and stolen it in line with their plans in previous versions of the game.

So there’s a little wait, but for the time being Angry Birds fans can satisfy their addiction with 30 new levels recently added to the Angry Birds Seasons game in an update called “Piglantis” which incorporates new physics with water based combat!
