Much like the festive season and Christmas run-up with all its excitement and joy, the run-up to early September is just as full of excitement and glee for any Apple fans out there.
That’s because this is now the season to be iOS, as the tech world is going Apple crazy in the run-up to the supposed Apple iPhone 5 announcement and release.
Today’s rumoured iPhone detail is that the next generation iPhone (classed as the iPhone 5) is looking set to be unveiled on September 12th by Apple, with pre-orders set to go live that same day.
The phone will then be set for release 9 days later on September 21st, but this is currently only rumoured for the US.
All this information comes from tech site iMore, who claim that “The information on Apple pre-orders comes from sources that have provided iMore with accurate iPhone related launch dates in the past.” The same website previously broke the September 12th date for Apple’s big announcement and media event, which has been confirmed by several other big name tech sites since, so there’s a very good chance they’re on the money again.
In Europe things may be a bit later as it is rumoured the iPhone 5 will be released a few weeks later in the UK and Europe, with the first shipments coming in the first week of October for international markets. So basically we will have to wait a fortnight to get our hands on the iPhone 5, with an approximate arrival or Friday 5th October.
In recent weeks there have been many leaks of what is supposed to be Apple’s next iPhone, with major changes reportedly coming to the screen size, battery size and performance, and a major change to the connector dock at the bottom of the product.
Apple is yet to confirm any of these rumours and are very unlikely to speak up until the official announcement in September.
