Apple will soon officially announce its reboot of the MacBook and with the new MacBook Air laptop on its way reports are suggesting that an old feature will be re-introduced, along with an all-new feature to appear for the first time. These additions are the previously absent backlit keyboard and the new super-fast data transfer system ThunderBolt I/O.
MacBook did include backlighting up until the last remodel back in May 2010 when it was strangely dropped, but will be reinstated with the new release notebook.
This is expected to become official on July 14th and to co-incide with the latest OS X Lion release, the MacBook to include Intel Sandy Bridge processors (full details can be read in our previous article) – with the only other major amendment (besides the backlighting) being the replacing of the DisplayPort with the new Thunderbolt port.
A few days before Apple meets its investors can we expect another announcement during what’s shaping up to be a very busy few months ahead for the Cupertino Co.?
