Apple has kicked off yet another bitter lawsuit after Amazon unveiled its own Android “App Store” yesterday.
As crazy as it sounds, Apple is very angry with anybody using the words “App Store” to describe their services, even when that’s what’s being provided – a store for apps!
Already in a feud with Microsoft over use of the title, Apple finds any other company’s use of the title “misleading” to customers and a misrepresentation of “their” services.
Speaking of angry, this all seems to have stemmed from those annoying Angry Birds, after an advert for the popular mobile-based game was launched by the Amazon App Store (sorry – “store from which applications are purchased”) – much to the ire of Apple.
Madness!
