The ASEC AS2300 code lock is a great device that is under £30 and saves a lot of hassle with keys, especially if you have multiple entry points using the same entry code.
There is one problem that can occur when fitting this lock. Sometimes when fitted the lock will not secure the turning handle despite the code being cleared with the C button.
There is a shaft running between the two sides of the lock that fits into a receiving hole and runs through the door linking the handle with the keypad.
If you do not have this inserted at the right angle the lock will not lock shut.
If you get this problem simply undo the two lock screws and rotate the shaft by one turn. This should enable the lock to remain firmly locked!
