Asus told us just over two weeks ago that the Android Honeycomb 3.1 software update would be made available for their Eee Pad Transformer, and they’ve stayed true to their word.
Owners of the 10.1-inch Transformer Tablet have reported that they have successfully updated their device’s software to version 3.1. The update is carried out over the air, so if your device is connected to a Wi-Fi network, you should receive an update notification shortly.
Google announced the first update (3.1) to their tablet-specific Honeycomb operating system at the Google I/O event earlier this month. It has several new features including USB host, which lets you plug in almost any USB device such as a mouse, external hard drive or even an Xbox 360 controller, and use it with the tablet.
Specifically for the Asus Eee Pad Transformer, the 3.1 software update brings improved stability with the keyboard dock, mousepad accuracy and type speed improvements.
