British Darth Maul Voice Actor Peter Serafinowicz Joins Assassin’s Creed 3

British comedian Peter Serafinowicz has posted a tweet suggesting his participation in the next Assassin’s Creed game.

The star’s tweet reads simply “Did a voiceover for the new Assassin’s Creed” giving no indication if he will play AC3’s lead character, the half-English / half-native Conner Kenway who surfaces to defend his people and brings the Templar war into the midst of the American Revolutionary War. In another Twitter post the actor says “Looks great BTW”.

Serafinowicz has made notable “physical” appearances in movies such as Shaun of the Dead, alongside Simon Pegg. He is also an established voice artist having offered the menacing tones to Darth Maul in Star War Episode One as well as a number of lower key characters across the Saga’s prequel trilogy.

Interestingly, comparisons have been drawn between Assassin’s Creed 3 and the new LucasArts game Star Wars: 1313, which also features the world of bounty hunters and skilled assassins and it seems the former Sith might have jumped ship (star-ship that is) to join the revolution in the 1750’s American frontier-based first-person action-adventure game which was part of publisher Ubisoft’s impressive line-up at the recent E3 Expo and it set for release from October 30th on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii U.
