This won’t be the first time we’ve heard rumours about a speculated successor to the extremely popular Canon 5D Mark II. You may remember we told you back in January that it was thought a prototype version of the latest 5D was spotted taking test shots on a safari in Africa.

Well, not much has emerged since then, until now. As you’ll see below, a few pictures including the one below, of what is believed to be the upcoming 5D Mark III have leaked online for all to view. The leaked images are actually quite good quality so may keep the sceptical people wondering a bit longer, however it still could be some quite elaborate Photoshop exercise, we hope not though.

It’s rumoured that the 5D Mark III will have a 22MP sensor and also feature an impressive 61 point auto-focus system, compared to a 19 point auto-focus on the previous model. Other spec’s include a 3.2-inch LCD display, and finally feature a card slot for both CF and SD cards.

Finally, when it comes to price, people in the know expect the 5D Mark III to retail for around $3,500 (around £2,200). Think I’d better get saving now!
