ComiXology Unlimited – The “Netflix of Comics” is Here!

The Amazon-owned ComiXology is about to become the Netflix of online comic books. With over 75,000 listed titles already available to buy individually at same average cost of picking up your books from a store, the service has now introduced a major change in the form of a subscription scheme called ComiXology Unlimited.

Offering titles galore from cult publishers including Image Comics, Dark Horse Comics, IDW Publishing, Oni Press, Archie Comics and Valiant Entertainment, ComiXology Unlimited will open up a vault of classic comics books/graphic novels and ongoing series such as Hellboy, Attack on Titan, Transformers and even The Walking Dead for just $5.99 per month. And as the name suggests, you can read as many of the listed books as you like, as many times as you want while they’re available.

More Netflix comparisons can be drawn from a rotation based scheme that ComiXology Unlimited will employ – thus keeping the content fresh and varied for readers.

The selection of comics included in the subscription service will be regularly replenished and rotated. Meaning, like Netflix, you’ll find some titles get removed, while new titles will become available. We think this is pretty good idea, especially considering the time spent browsing the Netflix listings compared to the time we actually spend watching the streaming content!

We know we’re harkening back to Netflix, this last point it one we think you’ll really want to hear – Just like Netflix, ComiXology Unlimited is offering a 30-day free trial to get you started, and you’re able to claim it right now at www.comixology.com.

See, we knew you’d want to read all about it!
