If you’re a fan of the extremely popular Beats by Dr Dre headphones, you may be interested in knowing that a new product is on the horizon.
The new Dr. Dre Beatbox as it will be known is a portable speaker dock with Bluetooth functionality and most importantly the Beats Audio technology. Along with Bluetooth connectivity, the Beatbox also features an iOS dock for your iPhone or iPod Touch, located on top of the speakers.
The Beatbox will also be fitted with a 3.5mm input jack, which should allow you to connect pretty much any music player to the portable speakers. In terms of output, the Beatbox has a 5.25 inch woofer which should give excellent range (especially the lows) when listening to your favourite tracks. The speakers will also be supplied with a full-featured remote which will allow you to turn the Beatbox on/off while also being able to skip through and select your music. The Beatbox is powered using either 6 D-cell batteries, or a direct connection from a computer power supply .
Initially, the Dr. Dre Beatbox will be available exclusively through AT&T stores starting March 11th with an expected retail price of $399.
