What is this we have here? If you look closely at the below image you could be fooled into thinking that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has its own version of the iPad’s Smart Cover.
Well after this marketing image was released Samsung were quick off the mark to say “this was not us!” and “we did not authorize this!”. The product page was taken down quicker than you can say Smart Cover (or as the actual accessory is called; Smart Case). None of the accessories were even sold.
So Samsung did not develop the Smart Case for the Galaxy Tab 10.1, it was manufactured by another Korean company called Anymode. Although it was not Samsung who made the smart case, Anymode have a very close link to Samsung and have been a key supplier of accessories to Samsung. Anymode’s CEO is also the nephew of Samsungs Chairman, so we would be suprised if Samsung had absolutely nothing to do with this!
