GarageBand for iPhone and iPod Touch is fairly identical to the app found on the iPad. On the tablet, the simple yet deep music software has been, as apple puts it, something of “a big hit,” so it makes sens for them to want to port it to other devices to maximise its potential.
“The innovative Multi-Touch interface combined with Smart Instruments makes it easy to create great sounding music, even if you’ve never studied music or played an instrument before,” says the Apple blurb. If you do play an instrument, you can even plug it into the device via the headphone jack to record straight from there. GarageBand for iPhone and iPod Touch is £2.99 from the app store, or free if you already have the iPad version.
