Phones4U have commissioned a poll which has revealed the UK’s most popular mobile operating system – and you’ve probably already guessed it – It’s Google’s Android that takes the biscuit (bearing in mind the newest version is called Gingerbread. Oh come on!)
Beating the leading contender, Apple’s iOS by 10%, out of 596 customers who were involved in the poll 36% opted to grab Google gadgets above all rivals. Only 23% polled actually own an Android mobile, which suggests many plan to make the leap to Google’s platform in the future.
The main marketing man for retailer Phones4U says “We’re listening to our customers by ensuring we can offer them a wide range of Android devices, with a number of new Android mobile phones launching at Phones 4u over the coming weeks.”
