Google has announced a few tweaks and changes to its Google Drive iOS and Android Application for smartphones and tablets those new editing features for the Google Drive app.
Google cloud storage service has been receiving incremental update since its release and todays update will bring a host of changes to both the iOS Application and the Android version but with different results.
The updates for iOS will include the ability to edit Google documents the same as you can do on the Android App which will allow users to access their Google Drive from their iPhone or iPad to create a new document, edit an existing one or format text.
Plus just like the computer version you will be able to see other people’s edits instantly as they’re made. Additional features will be the ability to view Google presentations on your iPhone or iPad, including speaker notes, full-screen mode and the ability to swipe between slides and you will be able to create new folders, move files into folders and upload media from your device directly in the Drive app.
The updates for the Android version will be slightly smaller (Most of the iOS’s new features already exist on Android) but Google drive will now allow you to add comments, reply to existing comments and view tables in your Google documents plus you will have the same abilities as the iOS version regarding viewing presentations and organizing your media.
Google have also stated that in the coming months the Google Drive feature will be getting new additions such as native editing and real-time collaboration for Google spreadsheets.
