Google have today released an update to the Google Search app for iOS, mostly to improve speed and performance but also adding a few extra features to boot.
Speed has been increased by 20% within the app, says Google. One way they’ve done this is by setting the “Just Talk” setting to off by default – a feature that allowed you to voice search with Google. The setting can be turned back on again within settings, but it may undo some of the speed improvements made.
Search results have been worked on too, as Google have tweaked the search results page to make the jump to a search link easier. The font size used is now bigger in the results page, and instead of just the link taking you to a new page, the whole search result is tap-able as a link.
You can update the Google Mobile app for iPhone and iPod Touch now by heading to the App Store on your device and tapping the Updates subsection in the corner. Let us know how you get on!
