Microsoft’s Golden Egg, the Halo Franchise looks set to be gearing up for a bit of exposure over the next 24 hours as the mega gaming franchise which is set to release its 4th instalment this year is possibly going to get a release date.
What is set to be one of the biggest releases of the year Halo 4 will be the first game in the franchise not made by previous creators and developers Bungie. The franchise has now been moved over to new Games studio ‘343 industries’ and Microsoft have a lot of faith in the forthcoming product.
Reports are coming in that Halo 4 will be getting a big time announcement on US broadcasting Late Night show “Conan” which is presented by Conan O’Brien.
Near-simultaneous tweets this afternoon from both Alison Stroll, Senior Producer for Halo 4 developer 343 industries, and Microsoft spokesperson Major Nelson not-so-subtly suggest Conan will have big news for the highly-anticipated sequel.
- Alison Stroll tweeted: A little birdy (or was it Andy?) told us @TeamCocowill have some big Halo 4 news tomorrow. Stay tuned! #incoming #wakeupjon
- Major Nelson Tweeted: Look for #Halo4 news on the way in the next 24 hours. Hint: @TeamCoco plays a part!
@teamcoco is Conan O’Brien’s twitter page along with his official @conanobrien and neither of the Conan Tweets areas have re-tweeted the details or confirmed but this will not be the first time that Microsoft has used the Adult centric Late Night TV avenue to announce gaming news.
Previously Microsoft’s Kinect was showcased on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon just one week after being unveiled, and Epic Games’ Cliff Bleszinski premiered Gears of War 3 on the Jimmy Fallon show last year.
Thoughts are that Halo 4 will get a showcase trailer and a proper release date from Microsoft and its thought that, that date will be the 6th of November.
