We are all awaiting the release of the Halo Masterchief collection on Xbox One next month, but on top of the news that we will be able to play all of our old and favourite Halo games re-mastered, is the tantalising idea that next year, we will also be playing a new Halo game, in the form of Halo 5: Guardians.
We know ist coming next year, and in line with the previous games launches, we can guess it will be released in Q4 of 2015, but thanks to a odd little Tweet from new 343 Industries hire Michael Cavanaugh, we may have seen the countdown of days till the games release, thus revealing the 2015 release date.
I’m extremely happy and humbled to join the the 343 Industries team to work on @Halo 5: Guardians! pic.twitter.com/BI7csQK9hR

Cavanaugh, has taken to Twitter to celebrate his new role within 343 industries, by poising with a Colleague, in front of a massive 343 Sign, but more importantly, in the background is a countdown clock below it displaying “382.” Now, taking a leap here, if we take 382 as days till Halo 5’s release, that points us at a date of November 10, 2015.
See the Halo: The Master Chief Collection will have a massive 20GB day one Update!
Now, the 10th of November next year fits in with our expected release period, so its not unfeasible that the numbers on a board are the remaining days till Microsoft want to see the game, and 343 have until they get a day off”
We hope it’s true, but if it’s not we will still be expecting Halo 5: Guardians for a time close to this. What we know about the game is that it will feature more than one playable characters, but Master Chief remains the main protagonist.
