Harry Potter comes to Kindle through new Pottermore social / reading network

Potty social / reading network Pottermore, as personally promised by minted author JK Rowling, will be delivering all seven Harry Potter novels in eBook form for Amazon’s Kindle when the expanded universe for Pot-heads comes alive this October.

Hosted by Google, the popular books ranging from “Harry Potter & The Philosopher’s Stone” up to epic finale “Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows” have been translated into 70 languages (sorry, no parseltongue) and converted to digital format for the first time, and will be available on Kindle and other eReader tablets to celebrate Pottermore’s launch.

The Facebook for Potter geeks will continue the world of magic created by Rowling, allowing users to create a profile and interact with fellow fans in a kiddy-safe and parentally moderated environment. Promoting reading is Rowling’s main agenda for Pottermore (flogging more books now extends to eReader) and all seven stories can only be grabbed in the digital versions exclusively through the new network from day one – Even the “Accio” spell won’t get these to you any other way!

If you’re more into Harry Potter movies than picking up the hefty tomes currently available you can check out the Virgin Media TiVo app which brings you all the movies up to Deathly Hallows Part 1 – along with a cauldron full of magical behind-the-scenes extras.
