There’s a new pocket gadget designed specifically for keeping the ladies happy, but before you guys start panicking, we’re actually talking about the new HTC Bliss through Verizon – the first smartphone aimed specifically at the female demographic.
The Bliss features a gentle green-grey casing with rubber backing. HTC researchers suggest the colour and feel is the most appealing to women, as tests on focus groups have revealed. The smartphone is also stylish, lightweight and slim – actually 0.5mm slimmer than HTC’s Desire Z.
The software within also has a softer side, with a choice of calming wallpapers and apps designed for women aged 20-30 and aimed at common interests such as shopping and weight-watching – which is obviously what they all like, right?
We’re not yet in the know however, as to whether the HTC Bliss will come along with HTC Sense overlaid, but it’s certainly an Android device – most likely FroYo (2.2).
A unique twist to the Bliss is something designed around a common problem for female phone users which HTC has identified and addressed. A “charm indicator” means ladies no longer need to frantically search through their bags or purses when a call comes through as the add-on will light up to help easily find the smartphone – overall the HTC Bliss couldn’t be more convient and female-friendly.
Release date and pricing for this little charmer are yet to be revealed.
